Coding tunes

Heaphone ImageIf you’re like me, you wear a really nice set of headphones nearly all day as you create magical things in your editor of choice.

Or perhaps you’ve got a music system for a whole group of code magicians.

Or you provide custom hold music for your development company.

Whatever, it’s nice to have the right kind of music for what you’re doing. Coding. Complex stuff. You need something to go with that RedBull, coffee, bawls, 5 hour energy, 6 hour energy, cotton candy, licorice, etc.

Here are some links to some of my tune playlists (Spotified for your pleasure). Subscribe if you’d like.

Enjoy your Friday everyone. Anyone know of a collaborative Spotify coding playlist?

Pandora on our Apple TV (finally)

I can’t believe I hadn’t done this before, but it’s an absolutely incredible experience. Airfoil allows to hijack audio from whatever application and pipe it directly to an Apple TV and also your local computer (at the same time without out-of-sync issues).

I have the Apple TV set up for 5.1 surround and while Pandora doesn’t supply that kind of audio source, it still sounds pretty fantastic.

The demo runs for ten minutes before it degrades the audio, but the full application only costs $25… well worth the price.

I am enjoying my Rush channel at the moment while the snow falls outside. I can’t wait to use this during project work at home.
